Toyota Yaris Hybrid (2013)

CARBARN | Toyota Yaris Hybrid (2013) | Toyota Yaris Hybrid technology has reduced the first Toyota HSD. The small hybrid system combines a new 1.5-liter petrol engine with a lighter, more compact electric motor, transaxle, inverter and battery. Total system weight of 42 kg is less than the Auris Hybrid, the new engine causing 20% lighter. The 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle gasoline is lighter than 10 kg and 16.5% less than 1.8 liter engine propelling existing Toyota HSD. When used in combination with a system of recirculation of the exhaust gas cooling (EGR), a motor Atkinson cycle offers significant advantages in terms of fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Atkinson-cycle, compression and expansion are asymmetric, and the valves close late, delaying compression.

The use of a CVT transmission and lower electric continuously variable effects and a more compact electric motor with a 6% reduction in length of the hybrid Yaris transaxle, and a saving of 11 kg more hybrid Auris. The new lowered full hybrid powertrain also has a small battery nickel-metal hydride with a management system more efficient. Combining the power of a gasoline engine and electric motor 55kW, the Yaris hybrid is highly efficient, 74 kW/100 hp powertrain will offer the best balance between performance and fuel emissions consumption/CO2 in the B segment, while allowing customers driving so frequently that emit zero NOx, PM and CO2 emissions. Testing in a real urban environement with hybrid Toyota's Synergy Drive reveals that up to 60% of trips shifting is done with the gasoline engine off, resulting in zero-emission driving.

More particularly, an excessive increase in engine speed has been deleted in acceleration, providing a more linear relationship between the vehicle and the engine speed. The new Yaris hybrid model is not a niche. Each full hybrid Toyota offers customers the lowest possible cost of ownership. Excellent fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions tax incentives to bring in some countries, inside the city's congestion charge exemption and exceptionally low running costs.

In addition, Hybrid Synergy Drive ® is designed for low maintenance and durability. The full hybrid transmission does not need a conventional engine starter or an alternator. The new Toyota Yaris hybrid will be produced in the plant of Toyota Motor Manufacturing France Valenciennes.
