The Prius C Synergy hybrid disc integrates the operation of components including a gasoline engine, an electric motor within a transaxle continuously variable, a nickel hydride battery, a power control unit (inverter), a converter DC-DC converter for stepping up and a hybrid control computer. The hybrid control computer regulates the application seamlessly gasoline engine and electric power, depending on driving demands, and the driving mode selected.
