The package is based on 1LE 1ß and 2SS Coupe models with an exclusive-MM6 Tremec TR6060 six-speed gearbox available. The Chevrolet Camaro 1LE also offers exclusive, single-shock rear instead of the twin-tube shock absorbers on the SS models.
The interior includes the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE package of flat-bottomed steering wheel finished in suede and microfiber for easier heel and toe driving on the circuit. In anticipation of consumers in the 1LE in amateur racing events, Chevrolet will pursue approval of the 1LE package for SCCA Touring Class competition. The first Chevrolet Camaro 1LE package was introduced in 1988, inspired by the commitment Camaro Pro-Am Road Racing.
