CARBARN | Lotus Elise Club Racer (2012) | The exterior of the race Lotus Elise is almost identical to that of the standard model, because the main focus of the company to reduce vehicle weight to total vacuum. This was accomplished by adding lighter seats, a light battery, and stripping the car's soundproofing. A first in a model Elise is a sports mode for DPM (Dynamic Performance Management), sports suspension and a sway bar adjustment.


As with the standard model, the Elise Club Racer is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 134HP at 6,800 rpm and 160 Nm 118 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm. In Europe, the model is priced at € 34,450, or about $ 46.500 at current exchange rates, making it the cheapest available Elise.  The Lotus Elise takes models like the Audi TTS and the BMW Z4.


The result is an output of 335 HP at 5900 RPM and maximum torque of 332 lb.-ft. from 1500 to 4500 RPM RPM. The sprint from 0 to 60 MPH is done in just 4.7 seconds, while the vehicle's maximum speed is limited to 155 MPH.
