CARBARN | Mercedes Benz A-Class Sports (2013) | German automaker Mercedes Benz has just Revealed the 2013 Mercedes Benz A-Class sports hatchback, with hours to go before the curtains rise on the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The A-Class will feature three sports hatchback in petrol engines displacing 1.6 to 2 liters Between while the diesel engine range will get three engines too. Coming to the diesel engines, the variants on offer are A180CDI, A200CDI and A250CDI.
The entry level variant A180CDI delivers peak power of 109 Bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque, the A200CDI manages 136 Bhp-300 Nm with the top of the line diesel variants delivering aspects A250CDI 170 Bhp-350 Nm. Both the petrol and diesel engined variants of the 2013 A-Class hatchback will feature a stop-start system and will be available with options of a six-speed manual transmission and a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Dimensionally, the 2013 A-Class hatchback will be one of the most compact Mercedes Benz models ever with the length / width / height measuring in at 4292/1780/1433 millimeters respectively. Interiors of the A-Class is quite similar to its sibling, the B-Class hatchback sports Tourer. In India, Mercedes Benz is expected to launch the 2013 A-Class sometime in 2013, and position this car as its entry-level variant, to deliver big volumes for the German luxury brand.
